Four Wood Capital Partners of New York has hired Fred Scott III, 39, as managing director of the portfolio management group.

He is responsible for due diligence, manager and product selection, and asset management for the firm’s real estate business.

Previously, Mr. Scott was vice president of acquisitions at Strategic Capital Partners LLC in New York.

Pacific Life Insurance Co. of Newport Beach, Calif., has promoted two executives.

Khanh Tran, 55, is now president of Pacific Life, responsible for financial and strategic planning, investments and the company’s non-insurance businesses. Previously, he was chief financial officer and chief investment officer.

Adrian Griggs, 45, is now chief financial officer, responsible for the company’s accounting, audit, tax and treasury functions. Previously, he was senior vice president of finance and risk management in the retirement solutions division.

Devon Financial Partners LLC of Wayne, Pa., has made two hires.

Billy Muldowney, 28, is a financial representative, responsible for helping clients achieve their financial goals, and designing exit and legacy plans for retirement. Previously, he pitched in the minor leagues for the Chicago Cubs organization.

Victoria Valente, 24, is a financial representative, responsible for helping clients recognize and achieve their goals. Previously, she was a student at West Chester (Pa.) University.

Theodore Liftman Insurance Inc. of Boston has hired Jessica Thayer, 32, as senior vice president and account executive.

She is responsible for the insurance of asset managers, mutual funds and hedge funds.

Previously, Ms. Thayer was senior vice president of the financial and professional products division of Marsh and McLennan Cos. Inc. in Boston.

KBS Capital Markets Group LLC of Newport Beach, Calif., has hired Scott McIntyre, 52, as vice president for the Capital Coast region.

Based in Forest Hill, Md., he is responsible for developing and managing relationships with broker-dealers and registered investment advisers.

Previously, Mr. McIntyre was a Baltimore-based regional vice president at Sun Life Financial Inc. of Wellesley Hills, Mass.

Putnam Investments of Boston has promoted Scott Sipple, 50, to head of investment product management and development.

He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment product, product development and strategy, and product initiatives teams.

Mr. Sipple will retain his position as head of strategic relationship management.

USAA Wealth Management of San Antonio has hired Gary LoDuca, 46, as a wealth manager.

Based in Tampa, Fla., he will be a primary financial adviser, providing individualized solutions to increase the number of high-net-worth clients in the West Central Florida region.

Previously, Mr. LoDuca was the managing partner of CA Wealth Management Partners LLC of Tampa.

Heartland Advisors Inc. of Milwaukee has hired two members to its marketing staff.

Cam Stephenson, 37, was named vice president and director of marketing. She will oversee the company’s marketing strategies and public relations. Previously, she was director of marketing, communications and operations at Stark Communications in Milwaukee.

Nicole Klaas, 26, was named e-commerce strategist, in charge of the firm’s website, communications strategy and digital connections. Previously, she was the content and production manager at the Alliance for Children and Families in Milwaukee.

Lake Street Advisors LLC of Boston has made two hires.

Emmett Maguire III, 29, is now an investment analyst, responsible for manager research and selection. Previously, he was a research analyst at Twin Focus Capital Partners in Boston.

Judith Rowland, 44, is now a relationship manager, responsible for advising high-net-worth clients on estate, tax, insurance and investments. Previously, she was senior director and vice president at The Bank of New York Mellon Corp.

Taddie Ludwig and Associates Inc. of San Rafael, Calif., has hired Paul Kingsman, 44, as a financial adviser.

He is responsible for helping manage investment client relationships, as well as develop new client relationships.

Previously, Mr. Kingsman was part of the sales and marketing team at ThinkEquity LLC of San Francisco.
