Dreyfus Corp. in New York has launched a web site at www.lionsales.com, which provides information about institutional money market funds, Dreyfus Premier funds, no-load funds and in-house and outside insurance products available through the company’s institutional services division and Dreyfus Investments.

Institutional split at Managers site

The Managers Funds in Norwalk, Conn., has launched a website at www.managersfunds.com, with separate sections for individual and institutional investors. The site provides fund characteristics, annualized returns, portfolio sector allocations, market capitalization data and largest stock holdings, while linking investors to financial publications and investor service web sites. In addition, institutional investors can gain access to each fund’s quarterly financial market review and in-depth performance analysis.

Realty manager using parent’s name

Ere Yarmouth, a New York real estate investment management company of Lend Lease Corp., has changed its name to Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Inc.

Lutheran Brotherhood offers 24-hour access

Lutheran Brotherhood Securities Corp. in Minneapolis has unveiled Investor Access OnLine at www.luthbro.com, which provides 24-hour account access to the company’s mutual fund shareholders. Share balances, account values, recent transactions and fund share prices are available at the site, which also allows shareholders to purchase, redeem and exchange fund shares.

Tool does screening for ‘responsible’ stocks

The Investor Responsibility Research Center has released Portfolio$creener, research software that enables investors and investment managers to apply user-defined socially responsible investing guidelines to their stock portfolios. It examines company-specific profiles of more than 1,500 domestic companies.

Accounting software updated for euro

Systems Union Inc. in White Plains, N.Y., has launched a euro-enabled version of its SunSystems accounting software that will automate converting between a euro and non-euro currency. It includes inventory control that permits users to record values in parallel currencies, converting between a base currency and the euro at the fixed official rate.

Dog fund: no loads, but lots of leverage

Hennessy Funds in Novato, Calif., has launched the Hennessy Leveraged Dogs Fund, an open-end, no-load fund managed by the firm’s president, Neil Hennessy.

Frontier upgrades asset allocation tool

Frontier Analytics in San Diego has added the ability to produce investment policy statements in its AllocationMaster asset allocation software. Users are now able to customize the text within the policy statements.

Principia analyzes mixed-class portfolios

Morningstar Inc. in Chicago has introduced Principia Pro, software that analyzes portfolios consisting of stocks, mutual funds and variable annuities. It enables different types of asset classes to be combined into a single-asset-weighted portfolio for analysis.

Newsletter covers planning strategies

Emerald Publications of San Diego has released Business Wise, a quarterly client newsletter covering business investments, retirement planning, business continuation, tax reduction strategies, employee benefits, disability, key employee insurance, risk management and cash management.
