The ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee said last month that he plans next year to revive legislation that would require hedge funds to register with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said a bill in the next Congress will be modeled after S 1402, which he introduced in May 2007.
