RBC adds California team from Merrill

Duo managed $500M at wirehouse.

RBC Wealth Management has added a team of advisers in Southern California who managed $500 million in assets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, an RBC executive said on Thursday.
The Resin Hammitt Group, which is led by advisers Philip Hammitt and Jonathan Resin, are joining RBC’s offices in El Segundo, Calif., said Collin Rigler, the branch director.
RBC did not provide an estimate of the group’s production while at Merrill Lynch. Ana Sollitto, a Merrill Lynch spokeswoman, confirmed the departure but declined further comment.
