Oral arguments are scheduled for May 8 in a lawsuit challenging a new Securities and Exchange Commission rule that classifies indexed annuities as securities. A group known as the Coalition of Indexed Products filed its lawsuit in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit in an effort to overturn the SEC rule.
