Schwab to debut fundemental index fund

Charles Schwab Corp., the FTSE Group and Research Affiliates LLC will unveil what it says is the industry’s first non-exchange traded Fundamental Index mutual funds on Monday.

The FTSE RAFI Index Series is based on a combination of research by Rob Arnott of Research Affiliates and the FTSE Group’s index expertise, according to a release.
Schwab Funds is launching three fundamental index funds, designed primarily for use by financial advisors in their practices: Schwab Fundamental U.S. Large Company Index Fund, Schwab Fundamental U.S. Small-Mid Company Index Fund and the Schwab Fundamental International Large Company Index Fund.
