Comments are due Jan. 24 on proposed rules that aim to strengthen the SEC’s oversight of certain investment advisers. As mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act, the rules would facilitate registration of hedge fund advisers and the like, define venture capital funds, require reporting by certain advisers exempt from registration and increase the asset threshold for advisers to register.
