Regulators are considering a proposal that would expand issuer disclosure in the municipal-securities market.

Regulators are considering a proposal that would expand issuer disclosure in the municipal-securities market. In general terms, the proposed rule amendments would require a broker, dealer or municipal-securities dealer to verify, within reason, that the issuer or obligated person has agreed to provide certain information to the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board.
