The SEC last month proposed a rule that would implement a whistle-blower program. The enforcement would have to involve monetary sanctions totaling more than $1 million. For more details and information on submitting comment by Dec. 17, read Proposed Rules for Implementing the Whistleblower Provisions of Section 21F of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
