The House Financial Services Committee last week approved a bill that would let shareholders weigh in on executive compensation packages. HR 1257, introduced by Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., would require public companies to include a non-binding advisory shareholder vote in annual proxies so shareholders can either express approval or disapproval for executive pay plans.
