A bill introduced last week would let shareholders weigh in on executive compensation packages. HR 1257, introduced by Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., would require public companies to include a non-binding advisory shareholder vote in annual proxies so shareholders can either express approval or disapproval for executive pay plans. The bill, referred to the House Financial Services Committee, is scheduled for a hearing March 8. For details visit http://thomas.loc.gov
