Comments were due last month on an interim temporary rule that requires certain institutional investors to continue disclosing some short sales and positions until Aug. 1. The rule extends the reporting requirements established by the SEC’s emergency orders issued last September and October, with some changes. Weekly, non-public disclosures are still required in certain circumstances, but the threshold for reporting short sales or positions is now pegged at a fair market value of $10 million, up from $1 million.
