S&P global indexes debut
Standard & Poor’s today introduced three investible global thematic indexes
Standard & Poor’s today introduced three investible global thematic indexes: the S&P Global Timber & Forestry index, containing 25 stocks with a total market cap of $106 billion; the S&P Global Nuclear Energy index, 20 stocks with total market cap of $337 billion; and the S&P Global Alternative Energy index.
The alternative energy index consists of the S&P Global Clean Energy index, which has 30 stocks, and the S&P Global Nuclear Energy index, which has 20 stocks; the two indexes have a combined market cap of $512 billion.
