TAXES: IRA charitable gift extension gets nod

A bill passed last month by the House would extend a tax break applying to individual retirement accounts. HR 4213, which extends several dozen tax breaks that expired Dec. 31, would allow tax-free rollovers from IRAs to charities to continue through the end of this year.
