Wachovias CFO Thomas Wurtz resigns
A spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason for Mr. Wurtz’s departure.
Wachovia Corp.’s chief financial officer, Thomas Wurtz, is leaving the financial services firm.
He has been with Wachovia since 1994 and has served as the Charlotte, N.C.-based firm’s CFO since January 2006.
Mr. Wurtz will stay on until a replacement is named.
A Wachovia spokeswoman declined to comment on the reason for Mr. Wurtz’s departure.
On Tuesday, Wachovia posted a second-quarter loss of $8.9 billion, or $4.20 a share.
