Watterson Financial Planning is the firm's first acquisition in the UK

Connectus Wealth Advisers, a registered investment advisory firm owned by Focus Financial Partners, has agreed to acquire a British independent firm, Watterson Financial Planning, that’s based in Knutsford, Cheshire.

The deal, which is expected to close this quarter, is the first Focus acquisition in the United Kingdom. The firm currently operates in the U.S. and Australia.

Connectus is a Focus unit that acts as an umbrella RIA for advisers who wish to continue managing client relationships and maintain their boutique cultures, but not handle the operational and infrastructure needs of running an independent RIA firm.
