Chicago-based DiMeo Schneider buys Orion Investment Advisors

DiMeo Schneider & Associates, a Chicago-based investment consulting firm, is buying Orion Investment Advisors, an RIA firm in McLean, Va., that manages and advises on $1 billion in assets. All 11 Orion professionals will join the 70 associates at DiMeo Schneider, the latter firm said in a release. Orion, founded more than 25 years ago, advises institutional and private clients. DiMeo Schneider advises hundreds of retirement plans (defined contribution and defined benefit), nonprofits, private clients and financial institutions, and advises on more than $66 billion in assets.
