Eaton to redeem auction rate securities

A number of Eaton Vance's closed-end funds will redeem approximately $176 million in ARPS.

Eaton Vance Corp. of Boston announced today that a number of its closed-end funds will redeem approximately $176 million in auction rate preferred securities at the next dividend payment date on or after Aug. 22. The Eaton Vance Insured Municipal Bond Fund, Eaton Vance Insured California Municipal Bond Fund and Eaton Vance Insured New York Municipal Bond Fund have secured financing that they intend to use to redeem all their outstanding ARPS. The Eaton Vance Insured Municipal Bond Fund II, Eaton Vance National Municipal Income Trust, Eaton Vance California Municipal Income Trust, Eaton Vance Insured California Municipal Bond Fund II, Eaton Vance New York Municipal Income Trust and Eaton Vance Insured New York Municipal Bond Fund II have secured new financing that they intend to use to redeem a portion of their outstanding ARPS.
