InvestmentNews and Josh Brown have partnered to create a new daily blog for financial advisers that will highlight the most critical investment and advisory industry information on the web. Mr. Brown, vice president of investments at Fusion Analytics Investment Partners and author of The Reformed Broker blog, will update the new InvestmentNews blog - "InvestmentNews.com/section/the-takeaway>The Takeaway" — in the middle of every business day. The blog aims to provide a consolidated report of the most important news all around the web that could impact advisers, their businesses and their clients. Mr. Brown, who previously authored "The Good Leads" blog for the Wall Street Journal, will also write regular blogs and columns for InvestmentNews on how advisers can practically, and actively, adopt social media strategies that will help their businesses evolve. "This is a huge coup for InvestmentNews, and more importantly, for our readers," said InvestmentNews editor Frederick P. Gabriel Jr. "No other financial adviser has utilized social media as effectively as Josh Brown.” “Not only will readers find Mr. Brown's daily list of must-read articles incredibly useful, they will appreciate his insight into the business of providing advice and the no-holds-barred style in which he presents that insight,” Mr. Gabriel added. The new blog can be found at InvestmentNews.com/thetakeaway and also in The InvestmentNews Daily newsletter. Mr. Brown will be featured in the InvestmentNews NextGen Virtual Career Fair on Friday, leading a discussion about how some young advisers have taken steps to develop successful careers in the financial advice business.
