VSR Financial Services names Christopher Radford CEO

VSR Financial Services Inc., an independent broker-dealer based in Overland Park, Kan., has tapped Christopher Radford as its new chief executive.

VSR Financial Services Inc., an independent broker-dealer based in Overland Park, Kan., has tapped Christopher Radford as its new chief executive. Mr. Radford, who joined the firm as president in 2007, replaces longtime CEO J. Michael Stanfield, who is a founder of the firm and had been its chief for 18 years. Mr. Radford will also have the title of president. Mr. Stanfield will take on the new position of chief investment officer for the firm, which has about 260 affiliated reps and advisers. The changes in management are part of a succession plan that the firm's board of directors first approved in 2005, the company said in a statement. VSR Financial produced $90.4 million in gross revenue in 2008, according to the most recent survey of firms by InvestmentNews.
