SVB names Erin Platts president of SVB Private
The bank appointed David Sabow to succeed Platts as CEO of Silicon Valley Bank UK and head of EMEA.

SVB Financial Group has named Erin Platts president of SVB Private and appointed David Sabow to succeed her as CEO of Silicon Valley Bank UK and head of EMEA.

Both are long-time employees of the bank.

Platts has worked at SVB for more than 18 years. She was head of commercial banking for the UK and Europe for six years and most recently served as head of EMEA and CEO of Silicon Valley Bank UK. As head of SVB Private, Platts will head the company’s private banking, wealth planning, trust, brokerage, and investment management services.

Sabow has worked for the bank for 10 years and most recently served as its first head of technology and health care banking.

The two are expected to move into their new roles in the second quarter.
