Bennie Fowler, the former Denver Broncos wide receiver and Super Bowl 50 champion, has made an impressive transition from the world of professional sports to the wealth management arena after being named Caprock’s new director of strategic relationships.
Fowler laid the groundwork for his professional football career with Michigan State, before going on to win the Super Bowl in 2015 with Broncos quarterback team-mate Peyton Manning. Indeed, Fowler caught Manning’s final pass as a professional for a two-point conversion. Fowler also played for the New York Giants and New Orleans Saints as well as a spell at the San Francisco 49ers in a seven-year NFL career.
These accomplishments have profoundly influenced his approach to business. “A lot of life and success in sports comes down to relationships and teamwork,” he said, underscoring a philosophy that has carried over seamlessly into his corporate role.
At Caprock, a multi-family office RIA that serves ultra-high-net worth clients, Fowler leverages these lessons to build and strengthen strategic relationships, with a special focus on entrepreneurs and athletes. A certified executive leadership and life coach who has worked with more than 150 business owners and C-suite executives, he most recently served as director of strategic advisory at Michael Best & Friedrich law firm.
“It’s a cliché, but it’s true. Life is a team sport, and having the right people around you is crucial for success. My parents, Vinnie and Teresa, laid the foundation for me. They’ve been my lifelong teammates, and their support has been invaluable,” he adds..
Transitioning from an elite sports career to a business role is fraught with challenges, one of which Fowler describes as the "loss of logo" syndrome. “When you leave sports or a corporate career, you experience a loss of identity,” he explains. “You lose what your identity was wrapped in, and that can be tough.”
This personal experience has fueled his passion for helping others navigate similar transitions, making him a vital asset to Caprock, a company dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, athletes, and Next-Gen wealth inheritors.
“When you win a Super Bowl, things are done strategically, things are done with a process,” Fowler, picture below, said. Driving his work is a relentless pursuit of excellence, a trait common among professional athletes. “The drive of a professional athlete is second to none,” he asserts. “Bringing that aspect of my personality to my organization is an immense factor in our success. My purpose is to help people live to their full potential. That’s what gets me out of bed every morning.”

Inspired by his parents' commitment to community service, he has made giving back a core component of his personal and professional life. “You couldn’t even graduate from my high school without doing 40 hours of community service,” he recalls. “I’m on the board of the Michael Sadler Foundation and the Good Game Foundation, and I continue to engage in philanthropic activities every year.”

It’s about education, legacy, and philanthropy – viewing wealth in a positive and holistic way.”
