Stuart Thomas is a founding principal at Precidian Investments, which offers ADRhedged ETFs, an ETF suite that provides currency-hedged exposure to international equities. Thomas began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he held senior roles in equity sales, equity syndicate, and convertible sales before going on to pioneer Morgan Stanley's retail ETF business. In 2002, on behalf of the World Gold Council, he launched World Gold Trust Services to create and market SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), the first US commodity-backed exchange-traded fund.
